This short film tells a challenging story using humor and absurdity. The story is of two college students that experience an unplanned pregnancy and decide to keep the child. This is a revolution for these two young people. As I define revolution, it can happen on a level as small as two people whose lives are changed forever. In this film, the couple begins to have a pleasant conversation, but can’t keep themselves from arguing and become frustrated with one another. I better understand this scene to be a revolution when I consider how the scene would be different had the couple not had a child. They may have broken up without having to keep interacting with one another, they may have just enjoyed a nice breakfast, or they may be dealing with a different issue, nothing quite like having a child. Having a child marks a significant revolutionary moment in their lives. Their worlds were turned upside down and the rest of their lives became hinged on one another, as well as the child they brought into this world.
